"Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie
under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you
off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on. One who is
constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky his is to have you.... The one who turns to his friends and says, 'that's
her.'"

George Carlin ~
I have a suggestion that I think would help fight serious crime. Signs. There are lots of signs for minor infractions: No Smoking, Stay Off the Grass, Keep Out, and they seem to work fairly well. I think we should also have signs for major crimes: Murder Strictly Prohibited, NO Raping People, Thank You for Not Kidnapping Anyone. It's certainly worth a try. I'm convinced Watergate would never have happened if there had just been a sign in the Oval Office that said, Malfeasance of Office Is Strictly Against the Law, or Thank You for Not Undermining the Constitution. The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." Religion has convinced people that there's an invisible man…living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer and burn and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money. The IQ and the life expectancy of the average American recently passed each other in opposite directions. Here's a bumper sticker I'd like to see: "We are the proud parents of a child who's self-esteem is sufficient that he doesn't need us promoting his minor scholastic achievements on the back of our car." In America, anyone can become president. That's the problem. The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post "Thou shalt not steal," "Thou shalt not commit adultery," and "Thou shalt not lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment. Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday. Well, if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight? They never mention that part to us, do they? I'm completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death.

Some by P.J. O'Rourke...
"America wasn't founded so that we could all be better. America was founded so we could all be anything we damned well pleased." "Because of their size, parents may be difficult to discipline properly." "Every government is a parliament of whores. The trouble is, in a democracy, the whores are us." "Everybody knows how to raise children, except the people who have them." "Feeling good about government is like looking on the bright side of any catastrophe. When you quit looking on the bright side, the catastrophe is still there." "Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys." "If government were a product, selling it would be illegal." "Making fun of born-again Christians is like hunting dairy cows with a high powered rifle and scope." "The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work - then they get elected and prove it." "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences."

Such excellent quotes!!!! ;)
Here's another; Unless we can hear each other singing and crying, unless we can comfort each other's failures and cheer each other's victories, we are missing out on the best that life has to offer. The only real action takes place on the bridge between people. ~Author Unknown

Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you you are wrong. There are always difficulties
arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to the end, requires some of the same courage which
a soldier needs. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

It's the action, not the fruit of the action, that's important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your
time, that there'll be any fruit. But that doesn't mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if
you do nothing, there will be no result.

From Jon Stewart:
There is no such thing as an impartial jury because there are no impartial people. There are people that argue on the web for hours about who their favorite character on "Friends" is. Yesterday, the president met with a group he calls the coalition of the willing. Or, as the rest of the world calls them, Britain and Spain. The seven marvels that best represent man's achievements over the last 2,000 years will be determined by Internet vote... so look for Howard Stern's Private Parts to come in No. 1. More than 150 heads of state attended the UN Summit, giving New Yorkers a chance to get in touch with prejudices they didn't even know they had. If the evens of September 11, 2001, have proven anything, it's that the terrorists can attack us, but they can't take away what makes us American - our freedom, our liberty, our civil rights. No, only Attorney General John Ashcroft can do that. Here's the point - you're looking at affirmative action, and you're looking at marijuana. You legalize marijuana, no need for quotas, because really, who's gonna wanna work? I heard Dennis Kucinich say in a debate, 'When I'm president... and I just wanted to stop him and say, 'Dude.' I've been to Canada, and I've always gotten the impression that I could take the country over in about two days.

Of course, Mark Twain remains the most quotable person in human history...
A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. A person with a new idea is a crank until the idea succeeds. Action speaks louder than words but not nearly as often. Advertisements contain the only truths to be relied on in a newspaper. Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter. All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure. Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured. Any emotion, if it is sincere, is involuntary. Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint. But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most? 'Classic.' A book which people praise and don't read. Don't let schooling interfere with your education. Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone, you may still exist, but you have ceased to live. Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example. Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company. Grief can take care of itself, but to get the full value of a joy you must have somebody to divide it with. I don't like to commit myself about heaven and hell - you see, I have friends in both places. I must have a prodigious quantity of mind; it takes me as much as a week sometimes to make it up. If man could be crossed with the cat, it would improve man but deteriorate the cat. It ain't those parts of the Bible that I can't understand that bother me, it is the parts that I do understand. It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly native criminal class except Congress. It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare. It's no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense. Laws control the lesser man... Right conduct controls the greater one. Patriot: the person who can holler the loudest without knowing what he is hollering about. The man who is a pessimist before 48 knows too much; if he is an optimist after it, he knows too little. The most interesting information comes from children, for they tell all they know and then stop. Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Such good ones Prop!!!!
Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you!
