Tags : None Inspiration for questions; Josh with our quote of the day for May 30th (geez, I can't bleive May is almost over); Painting is my favorite but that goes hand in hand with music for me. I do my best art when listening to music I like, it somehow triggers an artistic streak. Posts: 8631 May 30, 2008 5:52 AM Admin Shoes, shoes, & more shoes!	I love art!!!! I took several college courses in it!! I was never good with oil painting....but, I loved water color. I did some pretty cool scenic things of some mountain and wooded areas where I live. In the later 80's/early 90's I water colored some Victorian projects (dolls, dresses and fashion) for Christmas one year for one of my sisters, my Mom, and a couple of friends. My mom still has hers displayed in her living room. lol I wish she'd take them down. Posts: 837 May 30, 2008 6:43 AM Polar Bear Girl	i painted for years (and would draw in pencil, use charcoal, ect) until i was engaged to someone who hated it and couldnt handle the fact its a little messy. i thought i was compromising so i stopped for quite a while. luckily i never married him lol currently, my husband would support anything i want to do ... that doesnt hurt someone else lol. he already set up an "art studio" for me

Posts: 827 May 30, 2008 8:55 AM Paranoid android on standby	I did do quite a few paintings, illustrations that I did for two childrens stories I wrote, but I've never felt like a paint brush is an extention of my self like I feel about pencil. My brother is much better, he did a water colour of Wayne Rainey on his bike and a gallery wanted to buy it, but as he's not too prolific he didn't want to part with any of his port folio :P You fool! You have broken my pointing stick! I have nothing to point with now!

Posts: 745 May 30, 2008 10:34 AM Goldens Rule 1st Member of TYT!	LOL Errol I am like you, paitined the whole inside of the house and refinished furniture and painted it also. I did "painting" painting when I was young and have been thinking of picking up the brushes again. Now I mostly "paint" with my computer programs and it's fun.

Posts: 1370 Jun 3, 2008 9:01 PM Admin 100% Cotton	to me it has to be a certain subject for painting. landscapes and scenic photos are perfect for paints because in my experience they don't always translate well to pencil/charcoal. when drawing people I prefer pencil for the fine details and for dramatic images I use charcoal. still can't figure out pastels to save my life though. come visit us at talk your talk!
